Ubletamig is a immunoglobulin bispecific antibody that targets MUC16 and CD28. MUC16, also known as Carbohydrate Antigen 125 (CA125), is a glycoprotein derived from coelomic epithelial cells and expressed in normal tissues. It is widely recognized as a tumor marker for epithelial ovarian cancer. Elevated levels of MUC16/CA125 may also be observed in certain non-gynecological conditions.
CD28 (Cluster of Differentiation 28) is one of the proteins expressed on T cells that provide co-stimulatory signals required for T cell activation and survival. Activation through CD28 results in protection from cell death, stronger cytokine secretion, and much-enhanced cell proliferation.
