Anti Porcine Transmissible Gastroenteritis Virus Nucleoprotein NP (TGEV/NP) Monoclonal Antibody

Clone HI459                           Catalog#: A50459

Description: Transmissible Gastroenteritis Virus (TGEV) belongs Group A coronaviruses in the family Coronaviridae. TGEV can infect pigs and cause gastroenteritis, which is a highly contagious viral infectious disease characterized by vomiting, severe diarrhea, dehydration, and high mortality in piglets within two weeks of age. TGEV is an enveloped virus with single-stranded RNA genome, and the diameter of its viral particles ranges from 90 to 200 nm. TGEV has only one serotype, and there is close antigenic relationship among different strains, but also extensive antigenic heterogeneity. TGEV is not antigenically related to porcine hemagglutinating encephalomyelitis virus and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), but it shares cross-protection with porcine respiratory coronavirus (PRCOV). There is antigenic relationship between TGEV and canine coronavirus (CCOV) as well as feline coronavirus in the same group, namely feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV).
