Description:
VISTA is an immune regulatory receptor expressed in most subsets of hematopoietic cells. The highest expression was observed in myeloid cells, with significantly increased expression levels in microglia and neutrophils. Next are other subpopulations of the myeloid system, including monocytes, macrophages, basophils, and dendritic cells. Unlike other checkpoints induced at different stages after activation, VISTA is expressed in a steady-state form on these subgroups.
