Anti Human Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP)  Monoclonal Antibody

Clone HI567                                Catalog#: A50567

Description: The Human Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) is a intermediate filament protein expressed predominantly in astrocytes, which are a type of glial cell in the central nervous system. GFAP plays a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of astrocytes and is involved in a variety of important cellular processes, including cell communication, metabolism, and the regulation of neurotransmitter levels. GFAP has been found to be upregulated in various neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, and brain tumors. As such, it is an important biomarker for detecting and monitoring these diseases.
