Description:
FcRn is an IgG antibody receptor located on the surface of cell membranes. Its protein structure is similar to that of MHC-I molecules, and it is mainly expressed in endothelial cells. The structure of FcRn consists of an α chain and β2 microglobulin forming a heterodimer. FcRn can bind to the Fc portion of IgG, preventing its lysosomal degradation and thereby increasing its half-life in vivo. It is involved in the transport, maintenance, and distribution of IgG within the body.
