Description:

B7-H3 (CD276) is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the B7 immune co stimulatory and co inhibitory family, and its ligand is not yet clear. In 2001, B7-H3 was first discovered and identified as a member of the B7 family. Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that B7-H3 shares a 20% -27% similarity with other family members. The B7-H3 protein is encoded by the chromosome 15q24 gene and structurally consists of 316 amino acids covering the extracellular domain, transmembrane domain, and short intracellular domain. The intracellular domain of B7-H3 protein is very short, and there is no known signal motif. In addition, due to exon duplication, the human B7-H3 protein contains one or two identical pairs of extracellular domains, resulting in two subtypes: 2IgB7-H3 is composed of a pair of immunoglobulin variable region (IgV) like and immunoglobulin constant region (IgC) like extracellular domains. 4IgB7-H3 contains two identical IgV like and IgC like extracellular domains, and is also the main subtype in human cells.
