Description: Anti ASFV/p30 monoclonal antibody Specifically recognize ASFV p30 protein. African Swine Fever (ASF) is a contagious, septic viral disease of pigs, characterized by fever, toxicosis, haemorrhages and high mortality rate. The causative agent of the disease is ASFV, a large DNA virus from the Asfarviridae family. Domestic and wild pigs are all susceptible to ASFV regardless of the breed or age. The disease can occur in various forms, including fulminant, acute, subacute, chronic and inapparent. ASFV p30 protein is an early protein, a part of the inner membrane of the virus particle. it was determined that at the early stages of infection (3-6 days post-infection) by low, moderately and highly virulent strains of ASFV, the virus specific antibodies detectable in the blood sera are mainly specific to the structural virus protein p30. Thus, p30 is a valuable target for both serology and antigen detection in ASF.
