Anti Respiratory Syncytial Virus F (RSV-F) Monoclonal Antibody

Clone HI483                             Catalog#: A50483

DescriptionRespiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is the main pathogen causing lower respiratory tract infections in young children and is also the most common cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in infants under one year old. Data shows that almost all children under three years old have been infected with RSV at least once. In the United States, RSV causes 4-5 million infections in children under four years old and 125,000 hospitalizations each year. RSV is highly contagious and can be transmitted between people. The incubation period is 8 days, and symptoms usually appear 4-6 days after infection. RSV is covered with two glycoproteins: attachment glycoprotein (G) and fusion glycoprotein (F). Research has found that F protein is crucial for RSV to enter cells, making it an ideal target for developing antiviral drugs against RSV. Monoclonal antibodies targeting F protein can serve as important tools for antigen analysis, rapid diagnosis, scientific research, etc.
