Amrecibart is a IgG4 kappa monoclonal antibody that targets human F11. F11, also known as coagulation factor XI, is a key protein in the coagulation cascade. The F11 gene encodes coagulation factor XI, which circulates in the blood in an inactive form. Once activated, it promotes clot formation and stabilization, thereby enabling effective hemostasis. Its biological significance lies in maintaining normal blood coagulation balance and preventing bleeding disorders. Deficiencies or defects in F11 may lead to hereditary factor XI deficiency.
